Dawn and Herbie have three adorable little babies!!  They were born on 08/10/22 and will be ready to go at 8 weeks old on 10/05/22.  There are two boys and one girl. I call this little girl Becky Thatcher. Her brothers were Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, but they have been sold. They were born on 08/10/2022. August 10 is when Missouri became a state, so I decided to celebrate Missouri's famous author Mark Twain and use names from his famous book Tom Sawyer.
Enough on that, now for Becky Thatcher. She is super sweet!! Becky is a fun loving, frisky little girl who also does enjoy cuddle time Becky Thatcher is still with me for a couple of reasons.
1) Besides raising puppies, I work full time at a local hospital, and finding the time to take pictures, create/ update ads and the website can be challenging. I focus first on making sure all the puppies have a clean pen and plenty of food and water
2) Unfortunately, Becky Thatcher also had a case of pneumonia She then started experiencing some hair loss, which necessitated another trip to the vet. Vet said her case of pneumonia probably brought on a fever which damaged her hair causing it to fall out. Becky was prescribed a special shampoo, and after a bit her hair coat has now pretty much returned to normal. I was also told at one point that she had a grade 2 heart murmur. A subsequent vet visit, same office but different vet, said she was fine and there was no murmur. I like my puppies to be 100% before they leave me and unfortunately sometimes things like this happen. It is rare here at Freedom Avenue, but things happen, and we deal it the best we can.
Her price is reduced to reflect her age, and possible heart murmur.  She will absolutely not go to a breeder, but hse will make a wonderful family pet. At about 21 weeks old she still weighed under 4lbs, so I expect her to stay pretty small.
